Looking for FREE OPEN MICS?

Tuan X., singer, songwriter and poet will be hosting his MONTHLY “Last Request” – Poetry Spoken Word FREE OPEN MIC @ Soule Restaurant in Brooklyn.

“Last Request” is a theme-based poetry/spoken word event designed to get artists to express themselves through writing. Having a theme-based Open Mic allows the writer to focus on the subject at hand and allows him or her to reach deeper into their mindset to come up with a more thought provoking piece. It also allows the writer to challenge him or herself; to open up the creativity and depth of each writer. In other words – it helps the writers give more of themselves through their art.

For the month of June, the theme will be “Coming of Age.” This will be your chance to tell your story through Poetry Spoken Word, of how your life has changed you – for the better or worse.

Poets are allowed 1(one) short or long theme-based piece. Each month there will be a new theme to follow.

Also, for the month of JUNE, at the Tuan X. – Last Request @ Soule Restaurant, there will be 2(two) Featured Poets. Featuring this month will be:

“A dope youth poet who’s making waves all across the East Coast this summer … Rah~Mah Mercy & An incredible educator, writer, guitarist & poetic inspiration … Myisha Cherry” – Tuan X.

Show starts at 8PM SHARP!

Open-Mic list opens at 7:30 & IS limited.

There is NO fee … A.K.A. this event is FREE.
