Welcome to Spoken Word New York (the "Site," "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "User") and Spoken Word New York ("we," "us," "our").

Spoken Word New York is a dedicated online hub and informational platform for the spoken word community in the New York metropolitan area. Our Service provides listings, articles, and spotlights related to poets, poetry events, open mics, and creative spaces ("Content").

IMPORTANT: We are an informational resource, not an event producer, promoter, venue operator, or ticket vendor. We do not organize, endorse, or have any control over the events listed. Our name, logo, and the phrase "Read. Write. Get Out & Recite." are trademarks of Spoken Word New York and may not be used without our prior written consent.

All third-party trademarks, logos, artist names, book covers, and event flyers featured on the Site are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion on our Site is for informational and identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement.

6. User Submissions

Should you submit any information to us, such as an event listing, a news tip, or other content (collectively, "User Submissions"), you grant Spoken Word New York a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the User Submissions in connection with the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to grant us this license for any content you submit.

7. Copyright Policy (DMCA)

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any content on our Site infringes upon your copyright, please notify us by providing our designated copyright agent with the required information as outlined in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
